Ignite students' excitement for learning as a Power Hour Tutor (grades K-6 or 7-12). Help students understand their homework and finish it before they leave the Club. You can choose to work with students one-on-one, in a small group of 4-5, or float around the room and assist anyone with random homework questions.
We need volunteers who are passionate about helping with Math and English, though all tutors are welcome!
Do you believe that an active, healthy lifestyle is essential for a productive life?
* This opportunity is available Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
Inspire youth to live healthier lives as an Athletics Coach. Help our gym staff play, coordinate, and referee team games and sports with our youth. We need volunteers who know the rules of various sports, though all active volunteers are welcome!
Do you believe that playing games helps kids de-stress and learn new skills?
* This opportunity is available Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
Encourage youth to engage with their peers as a Games Room Assistant. Play games with our kids and run tournaments for them. Our Club members participate (typically in small groups) in any number of activities happening simultaneously throughout the Games Room.
We need volunteers who are capable of running one of these small group activities, whether it's a board game, a game of pool or Foosball, or an organized group tournament.
Do you believe that artistic expression increases creativity and academic achievement?
* This opportunity is available Monday through Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. (To help with prep, arrive at 3:30 PM)
Unleash the power of art and imagination as an Art Studio Assistant. Help our art room staff with daily visual art and design activities. If a volunteer has a special artistic skill to share, they are encouraged to do so.
Do you believe that a person's teen years are formative and life-changing?
* This opportunity is available Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
Influence teen lives as a Teen Center Specialist by spending quality time with local teens (grades 7-12) in our Teen Center. Our Teen Center is a separate space within our Club that is dedicated to providing middle and high school students with fun, creative, and engaging after-school and summer programming.
As we expand our teen programs, our goal is to offer community service and leadership opportunities through Torch Club, internships, and mentoring programs. Teens are also encouraged to take advantage of programs in the arts, sports, fitness, and recreation.
