The Boys & Girls Club follows the Post Falls School Districts School Closure Policy. When the Schools Are Closed due to Weather, The Club will be Closed Also.

The Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County was established after Kootenai County community leaders started looking for a place and programs to keep kids in the area active, engaged and out of high-risk activities.

§ The Clubs help instill positive values with fun and educational programs during the after-school and summer periods. Boys & Girls Club programs emphasize character and leadership development, education, health, life skills, the arts, and sports fitness.

§ All boys and girls ages 6 to18 are welcome to join the Club. Membership dues are kept low, $20 annually, so that all can afford to belong. No young person is ever turned away for lack of the fee.

§ We aim to serve those who need us most - youth from disadvantaged circumstances - but we embrace the philosophy that all kids are at risk of making bad decisions therefore all kids can join the Club.

§ Our first location will be built in Post Falls, but with cooperative partnerships with City Link Bus Systems and School District Buses, we will be able to offer programs to the entire Kootenai County.

There are nearly 4,800 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, and on military bases around the world. Famous alumni prove our programs work such as Denzel Washington, Alex Rodriquez, Bill Cosby, Mario Lopez and thousands more.

After school programs are very important! The period between 3 and 8 p.m. each day is when children are most likely to commit crime or be a victim of crime. Clubs keep kids safe.
Boys & Girls Club programs work! Our programs help youth learn new skills, build character, and treat others with respect.
Clubs save lives! Alumni surveys prove this. When a child is changed for the better, their children benefit and their grandchildren benefit and so on. Clubs are changing history!
