Youth of the Year 2014 - Cenedra Witherspoon
Cenedra Witherspoon is a 15 year old sophomore at Post Falls High School. The Boys & Girls Club has played an important role in her life and she has attended nearly everyday since signing up. Cenedra does not know what she would be doing if she was not at the Club. Cenedra is very involved in her school band and volunteering in her community and at the Club.
Cenedra began attending the Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County 3 ½ years ago and believes the Club is not only a safe place to attend, but a great place to give her time to. In addition to attending the Club daily and being an active member in many teen programs, she helps staff whenever needed. She has taken part in many Club activities such as: Money Matters, Jr. Staff, Career Launch, snow shoeing trips, and much more. She knows that without the Club she would not be where she is today.
Upon graduating, Cenedra plans to attend college at the University of Idaho and study Elementary Education with the desire of becoming a Kindergarten Teacher. With the support of her family, teachers, and staff at the Club, she knows she can achieve anything.
